CALL FOR PRESENTATION PROPOSALS
FOR THE 2019-2020 SEASON
MLMTA is accepting program proposals for the 2019-2020 SEASON. Programs are presented during monthly MLMTA meetings on Tuesday mornings at Jacob’s Music, 1572 Wilmington Pike in West Chester. Applicants may submit two types of proposals. Applicants may submit more than one proposal.

FIVE MINUTES FOR A NEW IDEA
FEATURED PRESENTATION
- Presenters may be members or non-members of MLMTA.
- Presentations are expected to address topics relevant to independent and studio teachers. Representative topics may include pedagogy, business practices, music theory, aural skills, composition, repertoire, technology, performance practices, wellness, and social-emotional learning.
- A total duration of ninety minutes is allotted for presentations and a question and answer period.
- Presenters are expected to provide a handout that summarizes key points and sources addressed in the program.
FIVE MINUTES FOR A NEW IDEA
- Presenters must be members of MLMTA.
- The purpose of these segments is to provide a brief summary of practices, experiences, or materials that address practical matters of studio teaching. Past topics have included repertoire lists, lists and summaries of teaching materials, technology demonstrations, and explanations of specific teaching procedures.
- Presentations must not exceed a time limit of eight minutes, including questions and answers.
- Content must have a narrow focus that can be addressed within the time limit.
- Presenters are expected to provide a brief (1-3 page) handout to attendees.
All proposals must be submitted online and are due no later than MONDAY MAY 6 at 11:59 PM. Presenters will be informed of their status by June 30, 2019.
