Membership Policy for Event Registrations
Teachers who wish to participate in MLMTA events must hold individual memberships with the local association and can only register their personal students. Individual memberships provide each teacher with opportunities for their students to participate in MLMTA activities. This policy is consistent with the national MTNA and state PMTA associations. Please be sure to follow these guidelines.
At this time, MLMTA does not accept students from non-member teachers in local community studios. If individual teachers are interested in participating in MLMTA events, they must join the association by paying the applicable fees for membership in the national, state, and local organizations. The festival policy also requires that teachers who register students must be available to assist for part of the day. During the on-line registration process, if necessary, teachers may request a morning or afternoon time-frame.
