Two activities will take place concurrently at 
West Chester University, Swope Hall: 
 
  • MLMTA Play-a-Thon
  • Master Coaching Sessions 
 
Students may participate in one or both events!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  January 4, 2025.
How to Register:  To access the online registration form, go to the “Members Only” tab at the top menu, select Registration For Events, and choose Super Saturday. To fill out the Master Coaching form, you will need your students’ contact information, ages and repertoire. To fill out the Play-a-Thon form, you will need to indicate which time blocks are possible for you. Payments (see below) are made via the PayPal link on the "Registration For Events" webpage. Master Coaching — Between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, registered students can play in a Master Coaching session with a distinguished West Chester University faculty member. This is an excellent opportunity for students at all levels to receive guidance in an intimate setting for pieces that are either in progress or at performance level. Memorization is NOT required. Teachers may reserve up to one and a half hours of time in 20-minute blocks at $30 per block. The student’s teacher and parents are invited to attend the session, which takes place in the faculty member’s studio.
Play-a-Thon — This annual fundraiser will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Ware Recital Hall in Swope. Earnings from the event benefit MLMTA and the Constance Murray Scholarship Fund. This is a low-key performance opportunity that is fun for students while raising money for a worthy cause. Some teachers use the time for repertoire classes, ensemble playing, or for recitals. You may generate and collect funds any way you wish, but a minimum of $50 per hour is required. If you wish your students to participate in a typical ‘play-a-thon’ style fundraising, you may print the special chart found on our "Registration For Events" webpage (or also in Members Only under "Resources") to have them solicit sponsors!
